The Hotline team ponders whether the outspokenness of Elizabeth Edwards, including her criticisms of fellow Democrats like Hillary Clinton, is helping or hurting the presidential campaign of her husband, Democrat John Edwards.
“The best thing [Clinton] can do is continue to brush it off,” Hotline’s Amy Dudley said of a string of pointed remarks Elizabeth Edwards has made recently.

Mark Warner flirted with the idea of a presidential run in 2008 after his term as Virginia governor ended in 2005. But after dropping that plan last fall, he announced today that he will seek to replace Republican John Warner (no relation) in the Senate. Warner last month said he will not seek re-election.
