We West Virginians fry it up on the old-fashioned way — in a pan — but Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee said he and his college buddies cooked it in a popcorn popper. That oughta win him a few votes in South Carolina’s primary tomorrow.
That reminds me of the story of my brother and his friends crucifying roaches on toothpicks while they were in college in Tampa, Fla. I’ve seen photographic evidence of it, too, which probably dooms my brother’s chances of ever running for president.

Friday Fun: A Bad Year For Democrats

Democrats this week ended their first year in control of Congress in more than a decade with an admittedly mixed record. Rob Bluey of the conservative Heritage Foundation thinks this video best illustrates that record.

John Randall, the online communications director at the National Republican Senatorial Committee, alerted me to this NRSC video a couple of days ago with a note that said, “Bad singing, worse Senate.”
You readers can make up your own minds about the politics of the video, but trust me, saying that the singing is bad is an understatement. It’s worse than the off-key performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” by Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
