AdWatch: ‘Bush’s Senator,’ Nebraska’s ‘Quitter’

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is on the political offensive in both Nebraska and New Hampshire, running advertisements against Republican Sen. John Sununu and GOP senatorial candidate Mike Johanns.
The New Hampshire ad portrays Sununu as a crony of President Bush and Sununu as someone who has reliably defended and voted with Bush on issues like the Iraq war. The Nebraska ad characterizes Johanns as a quitter for leaving his role as Agriculture Department secretary to pursue a political seat while Congress is debating legislation to reauthorize farm programs.

Its pretty sad that all the Democrats can do is make attack ads. They don’t even have a candidate in the Nebraska race yet! This is the typical game of personal destruction that this commmittee always plays, every election, cycle after cycle.
