The House yesterday overwhelming passed a bill that would give collective-bargaining rights to police officers, firefighters and other public-safety personnel in the state. The vote was 314-97.

WashingtonWatch estimates the cost of the bill at 12 cents per person. Democrats on the House Education and Labor Committee celebrated the House’s action by airing a video about the legislation.
