The House Education and Labor Workforce Protections Subcommittee held a hearing last week on balancing work and family, covering issues such as paid sick leave, family and medical leave, and flexible work schedules. The Democratic side of the committee has now posted video excerpts of the hearing.
Subcommittee Chairwoman Lynn Woolsey of California: “Our country, while great, in many, many ways is stuck in a time warp when it comes to providing workers with help in balancing work and their families, and it lags far behind other countries in this arena.”
