Fred Thompson’s Message To The ‘Life’ Community
June 17, 2007, 5:22pm
Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson to the National Right To Life Conference in a video shared with the world via YouTube: “In 1994, I made my first run for the U.S. Senate, and I was pride to receive the National Right to Life endorsement. I’ve been with you ever since — and you’ve been with me ever since. On abortion-related votes, I’ve been a hundred percent.”
Thompson reminded the anti-abortion crowd of his role in spearheading the first judicial confirmation of now-Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, a man that Thompson said he hopes will become “the best chief justice that this country has ever had.” Roberts recently played a role in upholding a law against “partial birth” abortion.
