To Travel With TB Or Not To Travel

Tuberculosis-infected honeymooner Andrew Speaker had his 15 minutes of infamy (and more) in Congress this week as the subject of congressional hearings about his world travels while posing a health threat, albeit an apparently minor one, to those around him.
Word of his journey prompted the House and Senate committees to examine exactly how he managed to travel without intervention from federal authorities. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., recapped his panel’s hearing in an interview with Congress Blog.
