‘The First Web Video Presidential Primary’
May 18, 2007, 10:20pm
PoliticsTV has produced a must-see Web video all about Web videos in the 2008 presidential campaign.
The mash-up was produced for the annual Personal Democracy Forum conference held in New York today and acts as a compilation of the greatest hits you’ve seen here so far this year — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton as “Big Brother,” John Edwards in “I Feel Pretty,” Rep. Dennis Kucinich doing his best Pinocchio impression, and Sen. John McCain joking about bombing Iran, to name a few.
The thing that strikes me about the videos (and the mash-up) is how utterly devoid of substance they are. Is this the best we can expect from the much-ballyhooed Internet video revolution in politics? Color me amused — but most unimpressed.
