Sen. Craig’s Plan Of Attack On Gas Prices
May 18, 2007, 8:20pm
At a hearing on rising gas prices, Sen. Larry Craig touted his energy proposal. The Idaho Republican warned that government intervention in the market would not normalize gas prices and outlined the four points of his plan: 1) achievable, stepped increases in fuel efficiency; 2) increased availability of alternative fuels; 3) expanded production and enhanced exploration of oil and natural gas; and 4) improved management of alliances to better secure global energy supplies.
Sam Kazman of the Competitive Enterprise Institute, meanwhile, discussed fuel efficiency in a video interview with The Hill.
