Tom Vilsack Joins Team Clinton

For a few months late last year and early this year, former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack dreamed of upsetting Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in the race to be the Democrats’ 2008 presidential candidate. Now he dreams of seeing Clinton in the White House.
Vilsack recently announced his support for the New York Democrat. Why did he jump to her side so quickly after dropping out of the presidential race and long before the first intraparty votes are cast? Here’s his explanation:
