About The Publisher/Executive Producer
November 13, 2006, 8:20pm
K. Daniel Glover is the publisher and executive producer of AirCongress. He has 17 years of experience as a journalist in Washington, with most of that time at two of the premier publishing companies inside the Beltway, National Journal and Congressional Quarterly.
Glover currently is the executive producer of Eyeblast.tv, a video-sharing site and online social network for young conservatives that is funded by the Media Research Center. He joined the MRC in February 2008 after his stint as the editor of National Journal’s Technology Daily, which ceased publication in January, and as the author of Beltway Blogroll for NationalJournal.com. He still writes blogs about the tax burden on Americans and about presidential homes.
Glover gained podcasting experience at Tech Daily and spearheaded two packages of stories on the intersection between politics and technology in 2006 and 2007. One story focused on the use of podcasts and other new media on the campaign trail. Glover also oversaw the launch of the blog Tech Daily Dose.
AirCongress is Glover’s latest independent Internet project. Previously, he authored and self-published to the Web a children’s book titled “George Washington Beaver & The Cherry Tree.” He wrote it under the pen name Mister Critter and sold an e-book version and companion coloring book online. After Hurricane Katrina hit in August 2005, Glover worked with a Web designer to create Hurricane Job Hunter, a site where hurricane victims could seek help in getting cover letters and resumes as they searched for new jobs.
A native of West Virginia and journalism graduate of West Virginia University, Glover moved to the Washington area in 1991. He worked as a reporter and editor at CQ for nearly seven years. His passion for the Internet took root at IntellectualCapital.com, a startup opinion e-zine where he worked from 1997 until it folded in 2000.
Glover began his journalism career as a copy clerk and obituary writer at The Tampa Tribune and worked at the Dominion Post in Morgantown, W.Va., while going to college. He was the paper’s local government and political reporter for several months after graduation. Glover also did an internship at the Charleston Daily Mail in his home state.
